We aim to build on the long legacy of cultivators and breeders in the Emerald Triangle and incorporate a decade of experience and state of the art genetic preservation with our tissue culture partner Rapid Clones. To us, quality is more than just THC so we feature the 6 dominant terpenes as well as secondary cannabinoid information right on our label to highlight the robust entourage of attributes in our flower.
Cultivated with Intention
After years of experimenting with different methods of cultivation, we determined organic living soils produces the highest quality cannabis, meeting all our Esensia standards. Our flowers are grown in small batches, using a robust combination of raw/ organic soil inputs and aerated compost teas. Harvest after harvest, this regimen gives each plant the greatest opportunity to reach their full potential while living in harmony with our unique environment.

The unique combination of hot days in the summer and cold nights in the fall play a critical role in producing Esensia flowers. With great genetics, and carefully crafted organic cultivation methods, our unique southern Mendocino environment is the final piece that completes the Esensia puzzle.
Who We Are
Our name is derived from the Spanish word “Esencia,” meaning essence.
Essence is the “intrinsic quality that determines ones nature,” and we see this as the perfect concept to represent our genetic exploration of the cannabis plant. Each cannabis varietal has their own essence and nurtures our soul in a unique way. Whether your journey is physical, mental, meditative or social there is an Esensia strain to enhance and offer new perspectives.
Marley and Ben are childhood friends from Oakland, California who fatefully reconnected at Reggae on the River in the early 2000’s. They bonded over a love for reggae music, high grade cannabis and the beautiful landscape of Northern California. They went on to work together on a small hobby cannabis grow in Anderson Valley, Mendocino in 2010 and first started to dive into the world of organic cultivation and cannabis breeding. Ben and Marley’s unique skill sets made them a dynamic team and together they decided to launch Esensia.
